About Tegan James
Tegan Moss James (he/they) is a non-binary visual artist, writer & poet, who was born and raised in New Jersey, and recently moved to Tucson, Arizona. They enjoy creating blind contour portraits, abstract acrylic paintings and other art works that inspire positive changes and promote emotional healing.
Tegan's art serves as a platform to help to reduce discrimination and raise awareness on various human rights topics (LGBTQ; addiction/recovery; mental health) ~ all areas that have personally impacted their life, as a transgender individual in recovery from trauma and addiction. The subject of Love is a common foundational theme in Tegan's work.
Tegan eagerly joined the team as a volunteer assistant for Mariana de la Vega Art Gallery & Studio. (June 2024).
Member and volunteer gallery assistant of Locals Art Space in Asbury Park, New Jersey from 2019-2022.
Former Member of The Art Alliance of Monmouth County in Red Bank, New Jersey (2022).
Owner of TJ’s Paint Parties - public, private and virtual paint classes.
